Patch 5.3: Escalation
Dear adventurers!
We are sure a lot of you are eagerly waiting for the next big step in our Mists of Pandaria journey, and today, we have a very special message just for you ‒ wait no more! Yes, Patch 5.3: Escalation is coming to Helios! Gear up, rally your friends, and prepare yourselves for more epic adventures in Mists of Pandaria, coming on July 16th!
As the name of the patch suggests, this chapter focuses on the growing tensions within the Horde, and introduces many additions that move the story forward:
📜 New Scenarios: Battle on the High Seas, Blood in the Snow, Dark Heart of Pandaria, Secrets of Ragefire
🏅 Heroic Scenarios:
- A new difficulty intended for pre-made groups of experienced combatants, awarding Valor Points and high-level Epic items!
- In addition to the newly added scenarios, Crypt of Forgotten Kings and A Brewing Storm will also be available in the heroic difficulty!
- A random heroic scenario can also be ran, in the scenario tab in Dungeon Finder.
⚔️ And for the PvP-oriented amongst you, we also have a new battleground: Deepwind Gorge.
Quest Campaign: Escalation
The Darkspear Rebellion has engulfed the Horde! Revolting against Garrosh, the trolls have clashed with the orcs in the Barrens and Durotar, seeking help from both within and without the Horde.
- Battlefield: Barrens is the new site of this conflict, accessible through the quest line started at Lorewalker Cho.
- The remade zone will offer many interesting activities for both the Horde and the Alliance, from escorting caravans to battling Kor’kron Commanders, all in effort to gather resources for Vol’jin’s rebellion.
- Due to the hostilities between the two races, the trolls are no longer welcome in Orgrimmar and the Valley of Spirits has been occupied by Kor’kron forces. For this reason, no vendors, trainers, auctioneers, etc. will offer their services there.
Other details
- On the launch date, the current PvP season will come to an end, followed by the usual evaluation week. After that, Season 13 will be restarted (Season 14 will come with 5.4)!
- All Conquest Points will be converted to Honor Points (or gold if over the cap of 4000, at a rate of 35 silver per point).
- The Legendary Quest continues ‒ Wrathion requires more aid from his champions, this time seeking audience with the August Celestials.
- Brawler’s Guild updates from patch 5.3 will come as a later content.
Our developers have also been working on content from patch 5.4, with the Timeless Isle almost done, and the work on the Siege of Orgrimmar ongoing (the first boss is already done)! Thank you for your continued support and dedication!
